We are running a series of digital glaucoma support groups. Like a traditional support group, which unfortunately have been cancelled due to COVID-19, there will be a talk by a glaucoma expert and a Glaucoma UK staff member and an opportunity to ask questions.

Date Talk
9 July Glaucoma for the newly diagnosed
16 July Glaucoma for the newly diagnosed
22 July Glaucoma and eye drops
29 July The glaucoma journey and how COVID-19 is changing eye care
4 August Driving and glaucoma
11 August My glaucoma is getting worse: what might happen?

You will need to register for each talk, but this can be done right up until the start time of each webinar. For more information, and to register, click on the talk title above. You are welcome to join as many sessions as you like.

Key facts:

  • The webinar will run via Zoom.
  • Each talk will be at 7pm and last one hour.
  • You can submit questions to the speaker via an in-built chat function.
  • You won’t be able to see the other participants, and you won’t be visible.
  • You can use any device which connects to the internet and has speakers – so a tablet, phone or laptop. You may find it easiest if you can join via a laptop or tablet than a phone.
  • When you register, you will also receive an invite to an optional rehearsal the day before the meeting, so you can familiarise yourself with how the webinar will run

These sessions are new for us, and we’re really excited to be running them. We hope they’re helpful, but would love to how we can make them better. We are also planning more sessions for the future. If you have suggestions for topics or speakers, please send them to Joanna Bradley on j.bradley@glaucoma.uk.

Each session will also be streamed Live on our Facebook page and available there afterwards, in case you can’t attend.
