Empowering self-management in glaucoma treatment training

Primary school teachers looking over lesson materials together

Our empowering self-management in glaucoma treatment training is perfect for any professional supporting people with glaucoma. Examples of roles who will benefit are ECLOs, sight sector staff, domiciliary care workers, nursing teams, optometrists, pharmacists and sensory teams.

What you’ll learn in this 3-hour session:

  • Understanding glaucoma: What it is, who it affects, and why early detection matters
  • Overcoming barriers: Practical tips to support better glaucoma management
  • Alternative treatment options: What to consider when eye drops aren’t enough
  • Signposting: Where to find trusted resources and refer people for further help

Delivered by our experienced Training and Engagement Officers, the session is interactive and informative. You’ll have the chance to ask questions, share insights, and learn from the real-world experience of fellow professionals.

We charge a fee for the session, although the training is free of charge for representatives of a non-profit organisation. As a charity receiving no government funding, the fee helps cover the staff and administrative costs of the training.

We appreciate your honesty when selecting a ticket type and will check the attendee list ahead of the session to ensure everyone has self-allocated correctly.
