We are delighted to invite you all to our charity’s Annual Lectures, which will be held on Tuesday 14 March 2023 at the Coin Street Neighbourhood Centre in London. For those not able to attend in person, the event will also be available online via Teams. To request a video link, please email r.kew@glaucoma.uk.
It’s a great pleasure to announce that our keynote speaker will be Prof David Crabb, Professor of Statistics and Vision Research at City, University of London. Following his excellent and engaging lecture on ‘The burden of glaucoma’ at the recent UKEGS Conference, we were very keen for him to share his insights with our members and supporters.
We are also delighted that Prof David (Ted) Garway-Heath, the Glaucoma UK Chair of Glaucoma and Allied Studies at UCL, will be joining us to give an update on his research, including an exciting new trial commencing in January 2023 to test the effectiveness of vitamin B3 as a treatment for glaucoma.
Following the Annual Lectures, there will be an opportunity to ask any questions you may have, relating to either the speaker presentations or the work of Glaucoma UK. We plan to end, as always, with a drinks’ reception and the chance for you to meet others living with glaucoma or share your thoughts and experiences with us.
The event is open to all and free to attend but booking is essential, so please call us on 01233 64 81 64 or email r.kew@glaucoma.uk to book your place. Guests are welcome to bring companions and guides.
