Since its inception in 1981, the London Marathon has grown into one of the world’s most popular marathons. In 2024, it broke records by raising over £73 million for charity.

Our very own Michael Miller ran for Glaucoma UK that same year. After months of training, he completed the marathon in 6 hours and 30 minutes. Mike said, “The crowds shouted ‘Mike, Mike, Mike’ the whole journey, and the atmosphere was unbelievable.”
