Help shape the future of Glaucoma UK

We are seeking to appoint two new Trustees to join our Board and help guide the charity through an exciting period of development.

We’re particularly interested in hearing from people with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Optometry (including hospital or secondary care)
• Finance
• Legal
• Pharmacy
• NHS Commissioning

As a Trustee, you will help shape our strategy, ensure effective governance and support the charity in achieving its mission to improve outcomes for people affected by glaucoma.

About the role

Trustees work with fellow Board members, the Chief Executive and senior team to:

• Provide strategic direction and oversight
• Support good governance and financial sustainability
• Contribute to effective decision-making and risk management
• Act in the best interests of the charity and its beneficiaries
• Champion the work of Glaucoma UK

Trustees typically attend four Board meetings a year, together with occasional committee meetings, strategic discussions and charity events.

What we’re looking for

We welcome applications from individuals with senior leadership, governance or specialist professional experience who are passionate about making a difference to people living with glaucoma.

We’re committed to building a diverse and inclusive Board and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and communities.

Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses are reimbursed.
