Can more be done to fight glaucoma?

Glaucoma UK’s Chair, Professor Anthony King, will take to the main stage at this year’s 100% Optical to ask whether more can be done to fight glaucoma.

Professor King will join Specsavers Clinical Services Director Giles Edmonds and Specsavers Director of Professional Advancement Paul Morris to explore the question: ‘Are we doing everything we can for every glaucoma patient?’ on the main stage of the show at ExCeL London between 1pm and 2pm on Sunday 25 February.

“There have definitely been some positive developments in glaucoma care in the last few years,” explains Professor King, “but there is still much more we can all do to raise awareness and improve the prospects of those most at risk.  It is vital that we work together to achieve joined-up, consistent and equitable care across the UK.”

The main stage presentation itself provides learning outcomes that are suitable for optometrists and dispensing opticians, with one interactive Continuing Professional Development (CPD) point on offer.
